The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is undoubtedly one of the UK's most accessible and fulfilling adventures. With it's start and finish in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the route traverses three of Yorkshire's largest peaks:
Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m), and Ingleborough (723m). The deceptively simple objective is to complete this 24-mile journey in under 12 hours.

Small groups

The Yorkshire three peaks is popular for large charity groups with many operators bringing 100s of participants - this is not us!

We limit our three peaks challenges to 8 people maximum, this means we can provide a personalised guided service and use  our knowledge of route, and ideal pace to complete the challenge but also enjoy the experience.

Preparation

Don't be fooled, the Yorkshire Three Peaks is popular but this is not an easy challenge.

Assuming you are otherwise health
y this challenge is achievable with preparation. If you have limited experience of hill walking we recommend you get some. A 24 mile walk on flat terrain would still mean good few hours on your feet. Add over 5,000ft of climbing and the miles are the secondary issue.

We strongly recommend if you have no experience of hill walking, you consider joining one of our Introduction to Hill Walking weekends. We host these all through the summer from March, and weather permitting we head up Pen-Y-Ghent, the first of the three peaks.
